An environmental organisation and philanthropic trust, the Norman Wettenhall Foundation's objective is to support projects that enhance or maintain the vitality and diversity of the Australian natural living environment.

The objectives of the Foundation are:
- to build capacity in local communities to effect long-term beneficial change in the natural environment
- to support research, monitoring and knowledge sharing relating to all aspects of Australia's natural environment

The Norman Wettenhall Foundation is a member of the Australian Environmental Grantmakers Network (AEGN), an NGO that aims to help member organisations and individuals become more effective environmental grantmakers through information sharing, collaboration and networking.

Interactive Mapper

A Melbourne-based geo-spatial software company called Spatial Vision, in conjunction with The Norman Wettenhall Foundation, has developed a community web mapping portal. It is a combination of google earth maps and the CFA maps. The purpose of the cwmp is to collect data from individuals about flora and fauna sightings, weed sites, revegetation sites and other point of interest that the participants map.
